I’m Chris Bender, the founder and driving force behind this blog, with over 16 years of hands-on experience in nonprofit health and human services. My career has been dedicated to improving the lives of underserved and protected populations, specifically those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
My Journey
Starting as a direct care professional supporting children with Autism in residential settings, my career has evolved to include leadership roles in program management and IT solutions. A defining highlight was leading the development of a custom electronic health record (EHR) system, tailored to meet the unique needs of a Care Coordination organization. This transformative work streamlined operations, enhanced compliance with HIPAA, and empowered staff to deliver better care.
I created AIMPACTCare.org to cut through the noise surrounding emerging technologies and artificial intelligence in health and human services. The goal is simple: provide concise, actionable insights for professionals navigating this rapidly evolving field. From automation to compliance and innovative care delivery, I aim to bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and the compassionate care these populations deserve.

I’m certified in ITIL, AWS Cloud, Azure, and Agile Scrum methodologies, and have working knowledge in Python, SQL, APIs, and web development.
